French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday hosted Grammy-nominated Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
Davido shared photos from the meeting on X, showing his warm interaction with the French leader. He was accompanied by his associates — businessman Pascal Okechukwu (popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest) and his manager, Obi Asika.
Expressing gratitude after the engagement, the award-winning singer wrote:
“It was an honor meeting #EmmanuelMacron and sharing our visions for a better world.”
Born in Atlanta, United States, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Davido rose to fame in 2012 following the release of “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo.
Today, he ranks among Africa’s most influential entertainers and is one of the continent’s most-followed artists on social media.
